This page shows useful local information about Mayfield, Five Ashes and the general area around including Wealden and Tunbridge Wells. Members of MBF are welcome to submit information to Roger Stone for inclusion here.
Two letters from the Royal Mail can be downloaded : the first, dated August 2012 , gives details of the new sorting office in Rochester; the second sent in September 2012 from the Delivery Manager in Tunbridge Wells, talks of revised delivery services and gives some useful contact details.
Woodhill Patients Group
The Group was formed in 2011 to provide a focal point not only for Woodhill Surgery’s patients but also for the wider Mayfield and Five Ashes community at large to access information on health related matters in the widest sense. It is a different entity from the Friends of Woodhill Surgery who do splendid work but only in an occasional fund-raising capacity.
To date (Feb 2012) the Group has arranged for two defibrillators for Mayfield and one for Five Ashes which should be arriving soon and has organised several Save A Life courses. They have also organised snow clearing at the Surgery when necessary and for a rota of volunteers to collect and deliver prescriptions and drive patients to and from Surgery appointments in snowy and icy conditions. Community Cars are not able to provide this service when the snow arrives.
For more information please download the flyer which explains the Group’s ethos in more detail.
The group are running a quiz night at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, 10th March 2012. It should be a good night out, and something to look forward to with Winter well and truly now with us finally. If you enjoy quizzes but can’t make up a table of six this doesn’t matter. They can put people together and even if you are on your own you will find the company congenial! Let Jeanette Hore know if you would like to come but cannot make up a table of six. Click here for a document with more details.
